What to Expect:
This engaging three-hour virtual training is FREE and open to anyone nationwide to offer valuable insights and practical strategies to help you create and implement effective safety plans. Whether you’re an individual, a family member, or a community leader, this training session is designed to equip you with essential skills for enhancing safety in different environments. Together, we’ll explore the important topic of suicide and safety planning as a crucial intervention. You’ll discover the psychological and social factors that influence safety, and learn how effective planning can help reduce risks, particularly in high-stress situations.
What you will learn:
- Effectiveness of Safety Planning Intervention: Discussion on safety planning and intervention to understand the impact of these strategies on preventing harm and promoting well-being. This training will delve into the nuances of safety planning, providing insights into how these plans can be tailored to meet individual needs and circumstances.
- Skill-Building Exercises: Participate in exercises to create effective safety plans and explore real-life scenarios where thoughtful planning has made a difference.
