Taking Care of Ourselves
June 17 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am CDT
Redefining self-care in a way that actually works for you
We hear a lot about self-care, but what does it really mean in the midst of a busy, often unpredictable life? Is it a spa day, five minutes of quiet, or just managing to eat lunch before 3PM? With so many demands on our time and energy, self-care can start to feel like just another item on the to-do list.
If you’re looking to rethink what self-care actually looks like for you in a way that’s practical, achievable, and meaningful, this session is for you.
Join VSN Peer Leaders for a thoughtful and supportive conversation about reconnecting with your own needs. Together with fellow military and veteran spouses and partners, you’ll explore what self-care can look like in real life and learn simple, sustainable strategies to care for yourself in ways that feel right for you. You’ll also get a sneak peek into the Veteran Spouse Resiliency Group (V-SRG), a program designed to foster connection, personal growth, and resilience.
Learning Objectives
- Redefine self-care in a way that feels personal and practical
- Learn realistic, bite-sized ways to practice self-care throughout your week.
