Up & Out Seminar: The Pathway to Preserving Your Legacy

For our first financial Up & Out seminar, we have a very special speaker, Keri Mills. Ms. Mills is the widow of Special Operations Chief Stephen “Matt” Mills, a Navy SEAL, who died in Afghanistan while serving his country. Keri is originally from California. She and her 10-year-old son, Cash, now reside in Houston, Texas. Following the death of her husband, Ms. Mills realized through her own personal experiences, there was a desperate need within the Special Operations community for Estate Planning services to be readily available to all Special Operations and Gold Star families. She has set a goal to provide those services to families in need.
Currently, Ms. Mills works as a Law Clerk with an estate planning law firm in Houston, Texas. She is in the initial stages of reaching her primary goal of building her consulting business to bring important Estate Planning services to active-duty Special Operations Service members and Gold Star families. Currently, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and son, going to little league games, exploring many of the sights and cultural events in the Houston area, hosting events and giving back to her community. In the past year she has been interviewed on CNN Live and Fox News to increase awareness for, and be active in, raising funds for nonprofit organizations that serve the military community.
Transition can be a bumpy road, and we are here for you, offering an educational and holistic approach to military service transition to help make a smooth transition for the whole family. Our Up & Out Seminar Series will connect transitioning families with experts from across the country to provide needed information on a variety of transition topics, ranging from housing, finances, benefits, healthcare, relationships, and so much more!
