When you're constantly caring for everyone else\, it's easy to lose sight of your own needs. If you're feeling stretched thin\, overwhelmed\, or like you're constantly pouring from an empty cup\, you're not alone. \n\n\n\nThis peer support group offers a safe space to explore what compassion fatigue really looks like and how healthy boundaries can protect your time\, energy\, and well-being. This is a focused\, one-time event offering a snapshot of the full V-SRG experience in a stand-alone format on key topics. \n\n\n\n\nWhy can't I register for this event?\nYou must register at least 72 hours before an event. Most programs are ongoing series with multiple dates. Please check our calendar for upcoming sessions. \n\n\n\n\nHow should I prepare for the event?\nFor the best experience\, we recommend joining from a quiet\, distraction-free space and arriving on time\, as participants who join more than 15 minutes late may not be admitted. Be sure to have your Zoom link ready from your confirmation email. \n\n\n\n\nWhy is eligibility different for the 6-week V-SRG group?\nThe 6-week program is designed specifically for veteran spouses/partners and evaluated to meet their specific needs. You can explore the curriculum through various single sessions\, which are open to a broader audience. \n\n\n\n\nCan I attend this session if I've already completed a 6 or 12-week V-SRG?\nAbsolutely! These sessions are open to everyone\, whether you want to revisit a topic with a new group\, explore content that wasn't part of your original curriculum\, or make up for a session you missed. \n\n\n\n\nIs this a support group or therapy?\nNo\, V-SRG is not a therapeutic or clinical service. It’s a welcoming\, peer-led space for connection\, conversation\, and mutual support. \n\n\n\n\nDo I have to pay to attend?\nNo\, all events are completely free to attend. We are a grant-based program and believe in removing barriers to connection and support and are proud to offer these sessions at no cost to our community. \n\n\n\n\nDo I need to live in Texas to participate?\nNo—VSN is based at the University of Texas at Austin’s Institute for Military & Veteran Family Wellness\, but we are a nationwide network open to any military-connected individuals in the US and beyond.

You’ll learn alongside fellow spouses in a closed-group setting that encourages real conversations\, personal growth\, and meaningful connections. \n\n\n\nSessions run Wednesdays\, 7-9 PM CT\, from Mar 25-April 29.
