Olivia Stelter

Olivia Stelter, MA is originally from East Tennessee and now resides in Fort Cavazos with her family.  She is a military spouse, a mother of two, and a fierce advocate for women and children in the military community.  Olivia has her master’s in political science from Appalachian State University. She was an adjunct for four years, teaching American Government and State/Local politics courses. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Olivia founded a nonprofit called Women of MC in her hometown, situated in the Appalachian Mountains, where she served as President and Executive Director. This nonprofit worked to address poverty, introduce trauma-based practices in local institutions, and advocate for reproductive education. After three years, following her husband’s PCS to Fort Cavazos, Olivia stepped down from that position to be a contractor for the Department of the Navy acting as a research associate for the Naval Health Research Center.
