Kelley Glover

Kelley Glover is a veteran spouse based in Pflugerville, Texas. She is connected to the military through her spouse, who served in the U.S. Air Force during the Gulf War era. He is a disabled vet and they met and married after his service. Kelley joined the Veteran Spouse Network to deepen her understanding of military life and culture while building meaningful connections with other veteran spouses who share similar journeys.

As a Peer Leader with VSN, Kelley is a newbie and has facilitated the Music and Emotions group. She brings lived experience related to grief, mental health, and caregiving, and she values creating spaces where participants can explore emotions in ways that feel natural, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Kelley believes that shared experiences—especially through creative expression—can help foster connection and belonging.

Kelley’s “why” for VSN centers on community. She hopes participants walk away with a deeper understanding of themselves as human beings and use that self-awareness to form stronger connections with people from diverse backgrounds. Outside of VSN, Kelley enjoys taking long walks in nature, bird watching, listening to and writing music, resting without guilt, and savoring good food.

Professionally, Kelley holds a PhD in Educational and Community Leadership, and before earning her doctorate, she was a public school music teacher, professional singer/songwriter, voice over actress, and a community arts business owner. She is also trained in Mental Health First Aid. Her background in music helps participants better understand why music can calm the nervous system, evoke memories, and create powerful connections with others. While Kelley brings professional knowledge to her work, her role at VSN is first and foremost as a peer—showing up authentically and holding space for shared growth, healing, and hope.
