Sharon Baker

Sharon Baker is a passionate peer leader, devoted veteran spouse, and community advocate based in Columbus, Georgia, with a lifelong connection to the military community. Her journey began with her father’s service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and continues through her role as a proud Army veteran spouse. She is also a mother of five adult children and a proud grandmother of seven.

Since 2022, Sharon has served with the Veteran Spouse Network (VSN), where she leads support groups and programs designed to foster connection, understanding, and hope. This work has been one of the most meaningful experiences of her life. She considers it both a privilege and an honor to support military and veteran families. Through her facilitation of peer groups, Sharon creates safe and supportive environments where individuals can share openly, encourage one another, and rediscover strength and resilience.

In addition to her community work, Sharon holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling with a concentration in Life Coaching and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. She is also an entrepreneur committed to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential. Through coaching, training, and development, she equips others with the tools to grow, lead, and thrive. She is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and meaningful connection.

Outside of her professional and volunteer roles, Sharon finds peace and renewal at the beach. She also enjoys watching movies and spending quality time with her family.
