Holly Doggett

Holly Doggett, based in Wendell, North Carolina, is a proud veteran spouse whose partner served in the Army during the post-9/11 era. Coming into her relationship later in life, Holly experienced the deep isolation that can accompany military life—especially when navigating the complexities of service-connected challenges. That sense of disconnection led her to the Veteran Spouse Network, where she found not only support but a community that truly understood her journey.

As a Peer Leader with VSN for the past seven years, Holly has facilitated groups focused on caregiving, PTSD and relationships, and moral injury. Her lived experience with grief, mental health, suicide loss, substance misuse, and parenting allow her to connect with participants in a way that feels genuine and grounded. Holly brings warmth, empathy, and a steady presence to every group, helping others feel seen and supported as they navigate their own paths.

Holly’s motivation for being part of VSN is rooted in her belief that no one should have to walk this road alone. She hopes participants leave with a renewed sense of hope and the understanding that healing is possible through connection. Outside of VSN, Holly finds joy in rescuing animals, diving into true crime podcasts, tending her garden, and curling up with a good book.

While Holly is professionally trained in mental health support—holding certifications in Mental Health First Aid, ASK+, and QPR—her role at VSN is first and foremost as a peer, creating space for authentic connection. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, she brings valuable insight and compassion to her work, always guided by the belief that shared experience is a powerful tool for healing. Holly’s heart for service and her love for her community shine through in everything she does.
