Jill Evans is a proud post-9/11 Marine Corps spouse based in Justin, Texas. She met and married her disabled, retired Marine husband after his time in service and has since learned firsthand the challenges and rewards of navigating post-military life. Jill understands the unique transitions that come with reintegration, identity shifts, and supporting a partner with service-connected disabilities. She and her husband share four adult children and are now embracing life as empty-nesters, balancing faith, family, and service.

As a Peer Leader with the Veteran Spouse Network, Jill draws on her lived experiences to support others in finding hope and resilience through community. She has facilitated Veteran Spouse Resiliency Groups (V-SRG) and participated in other VSN programs that connect military and veteran families navigating mental health, caregiving, and transition challenges. Jill’s peer leadership is deeply informed by her ongoing volunteer work with military and veteran communities, where she focuses on emotional wellness, relational growth, and encouragement.

Jill’s motivation to serve through VSN comes from her belief that no one should have to figure out post-service life alone. She knows that healing and growth happen best when we are understood and supported by peers who get it. Her hope is that participants in her groups leave feeling seen, valued, and encouraged to take their next step forward—no matter where they are in the journey. Outside of her VSN work, Jill enjoys photography, macramé, traveling, hiking, and kayaking. She and her husband love exploring new places in their RV.

Jill earned her associate degree in May 2025 and continues her education independently, focusing on growth, communication, and wholeness. Her ongoing learning reflects her deep commitment to both personal and communal transformation. In addition to her studies, Jill volunteers with organizations that support veterans and their families, offering mentorship and peer guidance. She approaches every group with warmth, empathy, and authenticity, believing that the most meaningful healing happens through shared stories and genuine human connection. While her education and experience enrich her work, Jill’s role at VSN remains grounded in authentic peer support and mutual growth.
