Amanda Castro is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Baylor University, and she is gaining hands-on experience as a clinical social work intern, where she applies her knowledge and compassion to help others. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences degree from Texas Tech University. Her academic journey included concentrations in Human Sciences, Human Development & Family Sciences, and Psychology, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and development.
Since 2009, Amanda has been a proud military spouse, supporting her active-duty husband in the U.S. Navy. Her distinctive position allows her to deeply understand and navigate the complexities of military culture, an invaluable asset in her aspiring career as a clinical social worker. She utilizes this experience as a strong focus to keep her informed about evidence-based practices, allowing her to apply the strengths-based approaches in her work.
