Laurianne Rodriguez, MS serves as the VSN Program Manager. Laurianne is a veteran, having commissioned as a personnel officer and serving on active duty in the United States Air Force (USAF) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. While on active duty, Laurianne did a cross between traditional human resource management work, ceremonial duties, and initial response case management. She served as a base-level Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, Victims Advocate, and Suicide Prevention unit coordinator. Although Laurianne separated from the USAF as a Captain, she remains happily married to a retired military officer and lives in New Braunfels, Texas with her spouse and two children.
The military lifestyle offers both adventure and unique challenges. Laurianne has helped to raise awareness of these challenges by advocating for military families for over a decade as a Key Spouse & Key Spouse Mentor. Like so many military spouses, Laurianne has diverse work experience but most recently served as the Executive Director of the Burkburnett Chamber of Commerce. She has a Bachelor in Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Baylor University, a Master of Science in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University and has graduate certificates in both Nonprofit Management & Homeland Security from Texas A&M University. Laurianne has served on a variety of nonprofit boards across the country, and currently serves here in Austin on a Military Service Academy Nomination Board. In 2023 Laurianne was a recipient of the Yellow Rose of Texas award commission under Gov Greg Abbott.
