Rhonda Thompson

As a proud Army spouse of a Post-9/11 veteran, Rhonda Thompson knows firsthand the ups and downs of military family life—from deployments and relocations to the quiet resilience that happens behind the scenes. Her journey as a military spouse, raising three children while supporting her spouse through their active duty and her reserve duty, has given her deep empathy for strength and adaptability within our community.

Rhonda has served for one year with VSN leading one-on-one support and resiliency groups. Her family’s experiences with PTSD, TBI, and mental health challenges have taught Rhonda how vital it is to have a strong support network.

That’s why she joined VSN—a space where military and veteran spouses, family members, and caregivers can find connection, understanding, and practical resources to thrive. As a Peer Leader, Rhonda loves helping others build self-care habits and confidence to navigate the unique pressures of being a part of the military-connected community.

Outside of her VSN role, Rhonda is a Life Skills and Self-Mastery Coach with a Ph.D. in Psychology, blending her personal insights with professional tools to support growth and healing. She enjoys crafts, designing projects on Canva, and spending time with her family—especially during their competitive game nights! Rhonda’s goal is to help every participant feel seen, supported, and empowered to care for themselves and their loved ones.
