Molly Platz, LMSW received her social work degree from UT Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Throughout her social work experience, Molly has worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, sexual health and education, adult mental health and peer support programming. Prior to moving to Austin, Molly lived in New York and split her time working at a mental health care non profit and a marketing agency. Molly currently serves as a Program Manager and Communications Specialist at The Institute for Military & Veteran Family Wellness, supporting a number of projects and initiatives meant to engage communities and ensure access to proven programs and supports.
In addition to her current role at UT Austin, Molly works part-time as a communications and graphic design consultant, supporting a number of national nonprofits specializing in youth-focused programming. Molly feels passionate about resolving systematic barriers within communities to best serve marginalized populations in need of advocacy surrounding health, education and safety.
