We've all heard the statistics. Most of us in and around the veteran population know of someone who has attempted or died by suicide, or been impacted by suicide in some way. It's not an easy or comfortable conversation to broach with a loved one, which is exactly why we need to be talking about suicide.
We greatly appreciate our partnership with the Austin area VA to bring the S.A.V.E. training to the VSN community. The S.A.V.E. training aims to help you act with care and compassion If you encounter a veteran who Is In crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts. This will be an informative training with the opportunity to ask questions at the end. We are excited to welcome our guest educator, Tierra Gregory LCSW-S.
