Let’s Talk About It:The Healing Power of Relationships in the Midst of PTSD
November 8 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm CST
When your loved one is navigating PTSD, it doesn't just impact them, but their relationships with others, especially their intimate partner relationship. But the good news is that relationships play an important role in overall well-being and can support posttraumatic healing.
This is the focus of the outstanding research and work conducted at the STRONG STAR Consortium at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, who will lead our EmpowerED session on this topic. Our Let's Talk About It session serves as a peer support complement, where participants can process what they learned and share their own stories about navigating PTSD in their relationships. Led by VSN peer leader, Emma Martin, join together with other loved ones navigating PTSD in their relationship to support one another.
You do not need to attend the EmpowerEd seminar, but it is encouraged. You can register for the EmpowerED session HERE if you have not done so already.
To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse or partner of an active-duty service member or post-service veteran, a caregiver, a widow/widower or divorced spouse from a veteran or active duty service member, or an active-duty service member or veteran.
