V-SRG: Compassion Fatigue & Boundary Setting

V-SRG love & relationships

November 2 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm CDT

Let's face it – as military and veteran spouses, we are often wearing many hats and juggling all sorts of tasks. We may be supporting our partner, taking care of the kids, managing work and volunteering, cooking, cleaning, feeding the dogs, keeping the family calendar, dropping off, and picking up from the dozens of weekly obligations, and so on. You name it, we're doing it, and yet, too often, nothing on our list may have much to do with us. That's a problem.

If you're feeling overwhelmed with everything on your plate and looking for help, then this chat is for you. In this session, you'll connect with other military and veteran spouses/partners to discuss how we provide care to those in our lives, the negative cost of caring, and introduce boundary-setting as a tool we can use in our lives and relationships to ensure we can pour from a full cup, not an empty one.

These sessions will give participants a sneak peek into our Veteran Spouse Resiliency Group(V-SRG) Program, leading participants through the curriculum's Compassion Fatigue and Boundary Setting session.

Note: To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse or committed partner of an active duty service member or post-service veteran. If you have been a past participant in the V-SRG program, you are still eligible to join this session.

Please note that to maintain an intimate, collaborative discussion environment, we are keeping the registration cap number small. To ensure that all those wishing to participate can attend, please only register if you plan to attend the session. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, impacting your schedule, so if you register and find that you are unable to attend, you will be able to cancel your registration at any time – this will open up your slot for others to join.

It is also recommended that you show your camera during the session if able and comfortable.

We ask that you please join the chat at the scheduled start time. If you join later than 15 minutes, the leader reserves the right to not admit you into the session if they feel it will disrupt the group. If no one joins the chat within the first 15 minutes, the leader will cancel the chat.
