First-of-its-kind research reaches over 15.4 million people through 126 media outlets nationwide.
The Institute for Military and Veteran Family Wellness (IMVFW) at UT Social Work—the research arm of Veteran Spouse Network—in partnership with InDependent, today released findings from the Military & Veteran Spouse Wellness Survey (MVSWS)—the first national survey exploring spouse wellness across eight dimensions for military and veteran-connected spouses.
The research, surveying over 1,100 respondents, has reached over 15.4 million people through 126 media outlets since its debut at the ENGAGE @ AFA: Wellness on the Homefront event on June 27th.
Data Release Event
The findings were unveiled at ENGAGE @ AFA: Wellness on the Homefront, held in collaboration with the Air & Space Forces Association United Forces and Families. The event featured data presentations, a fireside chat with Corie Weathers, and breakout sessions with leaders, nonprofits, and community stakeholders focused on turning insights into action.
Event recordings and key findings infographic are available for those who missed the original presentation.

The survey represents the first comprehensive national study examining military and veteran spouse wellness across eight dimensions, including mental health, financial stability, and family dynamics.
