Throughout her professional career she served more than 25 years in law enforcement working within the county, state and federal entities.

In 2022, Rapunzel retired as a Correctional Administrator from the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons where she served 23 years of dedicated service.

Rapunzel is very passionate about helping those in need and is committed to fighting for individuals who are unable to do so for themselves.  Her strong commitment to community and love of others has fostered many opportunities for her to give back.

As a spouse and devoted caregiver of a disabled veteran, Rapunzel advocates for veterans, disabled persons and elderly people by providing them support and assistance navigating through the disparity of health care, mental health, community and social resources needed to aid individuals in the betterment of life.

Rapunzel was looking for a support group for veteran spouses and stumbled her way onto Eventbrite where she registered for a session offered by Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) and little did she know, VNS would be the one-stop shop to address her needs.

The sessions offered were not only beneficial, they were life changing and relevant to the things she was dealing with in her own life.  As she continued registering for the various sessions offered, Rapunzel knew she had finally found the support and community she had so longed for.  With each session attended, Rapunzel felt compelled to take a more active role.  She wanted to have a positive impact on the lives of others, in the same way hers has been changed by the VSN.

On a more personal note, Rapunzel starts every day with prayer, spending quality time focusing on her intimate relationship with God. In her spare time, she loves spending quality time with family and friends and takes pleasure in cooking, roller skating, yoga, dancing, and practicing gratitude.

Rapunzel firmly believes, in order to have an abundantly blessed life you must be willing to invest your time and service for the greater good of others.  Veteran Spouse Network has created a powerful platform where she can share experiences and make a positive impact in the lives of veterans' partners/spouses seeking much needed support.

Rapunzel is truly honored to be a part of this dynamic group of Peer Leaders who provide community support to military service members and their families.
