Let’s Talk About It: Trauma on our Brain, Mind, & Body
February 26 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST
This event is intended to be a peer support complement to the EmpowerEd seminar, with Dr. Tatiana Londoño. You do not have to attend Dr. Londoño talk on her work and research on the impacts of Trauma on the Brain, Mind, and Body. But it is recommended. Peer support means organic conversations, a safe place, shared experiences, a network, and active listening. There is both healing and empowerment in sharing. Or maybe you feel more comfortable listening. Let’s talk about what we learned. Let’s share our own experiences and learn from each other too. This event will be from the peer support lens with VSN peer leaders, Gretchen Davis and Debbie Wilson on Monday, April 15, from `12-1 pm CT.
Regardless, if you were able to attend Dr. Londoño educational presentation you are welcome here. Eligibility: Caregivers, an active duty service member or veteran, a spouses/partners, and friends/family members of a service member or veteran, all those dealing with the physical impacts trauma you are welcome here to discuss.
