Much like the ancient art of alchemy, which sought to transform base metals into precious substances, understanding, and managing stress requires a delicate balance of various elements. Welcome to “The Alchemy of Stress,” a transformative journey where we delve into the intricate composition of stress and unveil the secrets to crafting a harmonious balance.
This event will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd, with an optional event on Wednesday, October 4th at 7:00 pm CT. We ask that you please commit to attending both sessions, as content from night one will flow into the content in night two. More information on both sessions is below:
We are excited to welcome Dr. Pearcey, who in addition to being a cognitive psychologist and a trailblazer in stress research and empathy cultivation, is both a veteran and veteran spouse. As CEO of Cosmi Thought Technologies, he educates on stress and psychophysiology and will be joining us to share his research, tips, and tricks for investigating the world of stress and its impact on our lives.
Tuesday's session will be the educational component, discussing how to manage stress, the impact of stress on the mind and body, and “good stress” as a motivator.
Wednesday's sessions will be the peer support discussion and discussion of the stress self-assessment introduced on night one.
To be eligible for EmpowerEd educational events you must be affiliated with the military or veteran community In some way. This includes service members, veterans, spouses, family members, individuals divorced or widowed from a service member or veteran, as well as those working within the military and veteran space.
